I am currently a Warrant Officer in the Alaska Army National Guard, piloting the UH-60 Black Hawk. I have 700 hours of total flight time and hold a commercial pilot certificate with ASEL, AMEL, helicopter, and instrument airplane & helicopter privileges. I have been fortunate to develop as an aviator in the great state of Alaska, which has made me a versatile and capable pilot. Aviation was always a dream of mine, made possible through military service, and now my goal is to make civilian aviation a full-time career.
Prior to aviation, I had a long career as a photographer that began in college, freelancing for ESPN and Mophie. I went on to run commercial studios in Atlanta and NYC, and in 2014, I became the team photographer for Subaru Motorsports USA. My experience as a media professional extended to my military career as well; after commissioning, I completed the DoD Public Affairs Qualification Course and served as a Public Affairs Officer for Special Operations Command Europe before being selected for Army aviation. At the end of 2022, I retired from professional photography to focus on my civilian aviation career. I remain passionate about photography, and in my free time, I enjoy shooting aerial landscape imagery that showcases the breathtaking beauty of the Alaskan wilderness.
