My name is Ben Haulenbeek and I am a media professional and helicopter pilot with a wide range of skills and experience. I began my career as a professional photographer in college with well known brands like ESPN and Mophie. From there I worked in commercial photography and videography for product development companies in Atlanta and NYC. I eventually returned to Vermont to continue working in media as a freelancer, producing commercial photo shoots, consulting, and creating branded video series. The media work I am most proud of is my time as the team photographer for Subaru Motorsports USA, which spanned over eight years.
In 2013 I joined the Army National Guard, commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant, and then merging my passion for media with my military career by becoming a Public Affairs Officer. I eventually moved to Germany to work as a PAO for Special Operations Command Europe, which proved to be a very fulfilling experience where I grew professionally and greatly expanded my knowledge and capabilities. My success as a PAO with SOCEUR led to a life changing opportunity to move to Alaska and become a helicopter pilot. I now serve as a Warrant Officer in the Alaska Army National Guard piloting the UH-60 Black Hawk with A Co 1-168th General Support Aviation Battalion.

Having already fulfilled several life goals, I am now looking forward to new challenges as I pursue personal and professional aspirations. Flying, skiing and hiking in the mountains of Alaska has reinvigorated my passion for photography, and I plan to focus my future creative efforts on aerial and landscape images of remote Alaska. Professionally, I am now seeking a leadership position where I can leverage my depth of experience, knowledge, and creativity.
