My interest in aviation is both personal and professional. I have been captivated by aviation since I was a child, and to this day I still love flying the engineering achievement that aircraft represent. The military has given me the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a helicopter pilot, and I plan to continue building on that foundation to develop aviation as a civilian career.
I am currently flying the UH-60 Black Hawk for the Alaska Army National Guard, A Co 1-168th GSAB, based out of Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska. I am qualified in both the A/L and M model UH-60, and hold a FAA commercial helicopter certificate, with instrument helicopter rating, and S-70 type rating. I have over 260 actual flight hours in turbine helicopters.
In addition to my helicopter rations, I hold a fixed wing private pilot rating, with a total of 50 hours in the Cessna 172. I am currently working towards commercial, instrument, and multi-engine fixed wing ratings.
